About Amy
Amy Wilkinson is a Bradford based jewellery designer and maker who sells her work nationally through a variety of outlets.
“Jewellery design was an unexpected surprise, but now I can't imagine doing anything else!”
When studying her foundation course in art and design at Bradford College, her work was design orientated. She loved and believed in sculpture being her way of life.
Unsure of what career opportunities would be available, she thankfully chose to study Three Dimensional design at Manchester Metropolitan University. This enabled her to work in three dimensions and also learn about different materials such as wood, metal, glass and ceramics.
She found that metal was the most enjoyable to work with due to its sculptural qualities and was inspired by the concept that jewellery is wearable sculpture.
